Company Class Requirements
Below are the requirements for being a member of one of our company classes:
1st Senior Company - Level 4 & 5 dancers (ages 16 & up) Must be taking at least four hours of ballet a week, (with at least two of those hours being a technique class involving barre, center and across the floor) along with at least three other genres of dance (contemporary, modern, musical theater, hip-hop etc.). The Company class itself does not count as an hour of ballet. We’ve also added an optional one hour technique class to our schedule on Monday afternoons at 4:30pm.

2nd Company – Level 3 dancers (ages 12 & up) Must be taking at least three hours of ballet classes a week (with at least two of those hours being a technique class involving barre, center and across the floor) along with at least two other genres of dance (contemporary, modern, musical theater, hip-hop etc.) The Company class itself does not count as an hour of ballet.
3rd Company – Level 3 dancers (ages 11-13) Must be taking at least one ballet class a week along with at least two other genres of dance (contemporary, modern, musical theater, hip-hop etc.) The Company class itself does not count as an hour of ballet.
4th Company – Level 2 dancers (ages 10-12) Must be taking at least one ballet class a week along with at least two other genres of dance (contemporary, modern, musical theater, hip-hop etc.) The Company class itself does not count as an hour of ballet.
* Please note that even though in general we're distinguishing company classes by levels etc., a dancer’s overall experience and age at the beginning of the semester can play a role in which company they're placed in as well.
